The Saga of Simkins by G.H.S - Part 2

Over a year ago I wrote about Mystery New Zealand Cartoonist J. F. Nothing new to report but here are further examples of their work.

From the original post:

The Saga of Simkins written by Dunedin journalist Geoffrey Hugh Sumpter (1913-2004) is similar in format to many cartoon booklets published in New Zealand during the mid twentieth century. A fictional story of Corporal Herbert Simkins of the 2nd New Zealand Expeditionary Force. The Saga of Simkins is told chiefly in prose, with accompanying cartoons by J.F. featured throughout the book. Anybody know who J.F. is? Possibly a pseudonym for Sumpter?

Sumpter published another version of his tale of Simkin at war in 1949, This time under the pseudonym 'The Sarge'. No art credit features although clearly adorned with art by J.F. on the cover, perhaps another indication of Sumpter being the pseudonymous J.F.
